The chain whip tool is suitable for both the assembly and disassembly of screw (freewheel type) cassettes, as well as the assembly of such cassettes on the hub body. Furthermore, HD and ED cassettes can be disassembled from the freehub body (with the help of the appropriate lock-ring puller). To use: 1) place the chain of the chain-whip tool on the larger sprocket teeth according to the desired direction of required rotation 2) insert the required cassette lock-ring puller or freehub removal wrench tool 3) firmly hold the chain-whip handle to secure the cassette body while you loosen the lock-ring (HD and ED cassettes) or turn the central part in the freewheel to unscrew the freewheel type casette from the hub.
