The Shimano CS-HG51-8 is an 8-speed cassette on Alivio level. It has HyperGlide (HG) technology for precise and smooth shifting. It is designed for trekking and MTB. Conventional sprockets cause the chain to ride up and over the gear teeth before engaging the sprocket. HG sprockets guide the chain quickly and directly to the next sprocket without override.
